York
There is plenty happening for international students in
York all across the city, from the University to St. John’s
College, in language schools and in local churches. To find
out more about international student events and activities
going on York email theSt. Michael le Belfry church
office. Some events that run regularly are:
PASSPORT: International Films for
International Students
This is usually held on the last Monday of every month at
the Parish Centre Lounge. PASSPORT is a free social occasion
for international students to meet and relax. Films from around
the world are shown on a big screen. Pizza is usually ordered,
and if there is time we have an informal discussion about
the film afterwards.
International Cell Group
The cell group at St. Michael le Belfrey is for international
students who are Christians, but people who are not Christians
are welcome to attend, meet people and see what is going on.
We meet on a weekly basis to study and pray. The Cell Group
is involved in many other events too across York, and has
a weekend away in the spring to the Lake District.
Are you interested in meeting British
people?
Would you like to visit a British home? Would you like to
meet somebody to practice English with (for free!)? Would
you like to find out more about what the Bible and what Christians
believe? If the answer is 'yes' to any of these questions,
please get in touch.
